Riggs Return to "Bios" Email: m.n.riggs@mac.com  Location: Amarillo, TX  BIO: After CMHS, I moved to Fort Worth, TX, where I attended TCU where I earned a Bachelor and a Master of Music in theory and composition. During that time I met my wife of now over three years, Andrea. While in DFW, I spent four years serving as a music minister while pursuing graduate studies in music and now theology. I also spent much time writing music for various ensembles around DFW as well as playing in the Dallas Jazz Orchestra. Andrea and I now live in Amarillo, TX, where I serve as the Director of Music Ministry at the First Christian Church and she as the choir director at Bohnam Middle School. I am very busy with the church, but still find time to gig at jazz pubs, sub with the Amarillo Symphony, and even take a class in Spanish. I hope to finish a Master of Theological Studies during the next three summers while Andrea works toward her Master of Music Education, and then perhaps I'll begin a PhD in Fine Arts or Humanities. I enjoy my work in music ministry and plan to continue writing, performing, and teaching my way into the job-barren field of higher education in music theory and composition.
