I currently practice as an all-exotics veterinarian in New Orleans. I see hamsters and hedehogs, ferrets and frogs, rabbits and guinea pigs, snakes and iguanas, turtles and tarantulas, and every possible manner of bird. My personal family consists of about 17 animals, which has only been a problem for evacuations -- with all 17 piled in my car, there is clearly some Beverly Hillbillies action going on.
